The Customer Challenge
Unitywater faced a situation where years of manual processes and ad-hoc reporting led to siloed information and decision-making practices.
With a large portfolio of projects and programs and various stakeholders, Unitywater faced a significant challenge in managing their project governance and reporting with many processes being handled manually and in different ways.
Their project and program reporting process took almost three weeks out of every four, and project control reporting specifically took 2-3 weeks per month across 300 programs/projects across the organisation with each report going through multiple review points and requiring significant editing.
Moreover, program and project information was siloed and did not provide a comprehensive view of investment across the organization.
Unitywater aimed to digitize their Enterprise Project Management Office (EPMO) to bring all program and project information into a single space and to support better, data-driven decision making and management.
They aimed to move from retrospective reporting to a forward-looking, benefits- focused, data-driven insights capability.
